Oil filter for 940 B234F 900 1992

I heard from someone to not use regular aftermarket oil filter - rather to use MANN oil filters, for reason that they have some sort of built-in valve that keeps oil from coming out after engine is turned off. This way the oil lub and pressue comes up right away at crankup.

Does nayone know about this? Is this true? How about the delear filter?

This originated from my problem of oil consumption, approx 1 liter per 600 miles. This is unacceptable. I run out of oil before the oil change. The car is mint top shape with only 60K on it. There is no leak, I park indoors and never a drop on the ground. There is no smoke or smell. The car is mainly driven i nthe city. Note that I once took it on a 600 mile trip on the highway and it did not burn a drop. Why? What's up with this?
Should I look into this oil filter idea?

Please help.
