Turbo to exh. manifold flange... gasket? 700 1989

How hot does the exh manifold to turbo flange area get? The dude that opened up the hole in my 90+ exh manifold to match the one on my project turbo (ported TD05H 14b) apparently took a little too much off one of the flanges and it got warped, so now I've got a slight exhaust leak where they meet, nothing that a gasket wouldn't solve.

I'm thinking either custom do up a copper / aluminum gasket, or dump some JB Weld into it... any ideas?
