Looking hard at 940GL Turbo - Anything to take note 900 1994

Hi,

After years of suffering from stress and depression, finally I have decided to give a very good hard kick in the butt of my current 1991 940GLE, 16 valve which was a b!@#h when comes to maintenance and repairs.

Personally I think its the worst car I ever had. I have changed 5 cars before but they were all Japanese make. This was the first Volvo I ever had and it leaves me with an impression that I you ever want to find out the down and rotten side of a Volvo 940 series, go and get yourself the 16 valves.

Enough said about my current lemon. I am now looking hard at a 1994 Volvo940 turbo with over 220K km on its odometer. I have never driven a turbo nor I know anything about its maintenace. The car looks okey for a 7 year old car and has ABS and cruise control as well as leather seats.

Is there anything that I should give particular attention before taking a plunge and buying it. All your comments are much appreciated.

thanks
