82 turbowagon, intercooled? 200

After collecting a half dozen 122s I finally got my first Volvo without round fenders. I can't pick up the car for a week but I've looked it over and agreed to buy it. Something confuses me and maybe somebody can explain. This car is supposedly an '82 245 (wagon) with a turbo. On the back hatch, it clearly says "intercooled". I've been checking and it appears that intercooling was an option in '82. Just wondering if it's a factory installed option or a dealer option. Was it common to have the "intercooled" label put on the car when the option was installed? Would this car have the heavier clutch? (it's a 4spd w. OD) or beefier rear end?

Thanks for all responses,
Bob
