How come everybody recommends Mann oil filters? I've been using "el Cheapo" brand from ManicBoys, etc and replacing them every 3 months. No problems ever since 1976 except now with a clattering valvetrain in my 93 245. What's the current philosophy on oil filters?
what about oil? I've been using 10W40 also from SchizoBoys at 89 cents a quart.
Am I being foolish & cheap?..... or smart & cheap?
