Help please - New owner of 1984 240 GL 200

Yesterday I bought an 84 240 GL at an auto auction. The body is is decent shape with a few small rust spots.

My plans include a paint job and a possible interior re-do. I am not the one who will be doing the work because, well, I am clueless and don't want to mess it up.

Everything else seems to work well. The engine runs well, the transmission is perfect, the AC, power windows, etcetc works. Not bad for $100 hmm?

So, my question to you all is this: Where do I start? Is there a certain order that I should follow when it comes to Repairing, upgrading, etc? What would you recommend?

When I picked it up I put 98 gas in it. Is that ok or should I downgrade to 95? Any special kind of oil, etc? Any recommendations or ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

KS.
