Issues after switching to synthetic... 200

I wanted to switch to Amsoil, but could not receive it in time to do an oil change. I'll possibly switch over in 5k. So, I used Mobil 1 TS 10w-30. I have double checked the filter and the drain plug, no leaks. When I come to a stop, especially so in heavy LA traffic, the oil light comes (and stays on) until I start up again. According to the dipstick, it is full. Any ideas? Is it the oil's inertia? Thanks in advance.
