Stumbling Idle- I was told it is normal^@#$^%?? 200

Bricksters,
I was told by a guy who had a few 240's in the past and by my volvo parts guy that my rough idle is normal for a 240? It sits there at 750 RPM and rythmically surges down 50-100RPM then back up again every 2 seconds. Only after it has warmed up. My problem is that often it is so bad the car shakes badly, exhaust rattles and the engine/transmission mounts and dirvetrain get a flogging. Not so bad when in drive (autobox) but still there. Still there at higher idle setting. almost like misfiring when you take one spark plug lead off.

I have replaced IAC, cleaned TB, reset idle switch, new rotor, dist, leads, plugs, injector seals, flame trap, checked for vacc leaks and done the Bentley ECU tests with good results.

I am looking for someone with the same symptoms. Help!! Frustrated..
Thanks
Karl
