Aww crap a real problem...power door lock....245Ti 200 1985

I haven't posted a problem for awhile...but suddenly my front passenger side lock actuator went titsup or so I thought....

Let me back up...went to lock the doors this AM and the frt. passenger won't even lock manually.....beachutiful...I had to leave the sucker unlocked on that side!! My work place is safer than most, no one molested Ai Lin.

Got home, tore the door panel off and see nothing amiss - try the electric actuator in free mode, it tries to move but won't. Took it all apart - the fuqer is full of nastijuice (rusty watery nice) - so I clean it perfectly (the motor case itself is still rusty). Lube it with some various synthetics and synthetic grease. Test it with battery power and it works!! Put it in and works better than ever (be carefull not to overtighten the case screws or it will bind - had this happen on the rear driver's side several years back).

Too tired - I will put the door panel, etc back on tomorrow...
