Passenger side taillight circuit board caught FIRE! as I was replacing brake light bulb 200 1991

Question:

1) Does the bulb holder in that specific tail light socket (passenger side/white holder) also screw in clockwise (i.e. like all the others), or counterclockwise (after attempting this my circuit board caught fire).

If it is supposed to be clockwise, mine seems to get stuck due to an imperfection in the plastic on the inside (where the bulb holder screws into) that only allows a a slight 1/8 turn in the clockwise direction and although the light works like this, it eventually loosens/unscrews and goes out. Is it supposed to be like this? Or should it turn full like the other sockets.

2) Counterclockwise it turns completely but unfortunately I think it caused my board to short circuit.

I am sick and tired of having bulb-out problems and that darn indicator is driving my crazy.... not to mention the ticked I recently got!

Thanks,

Ruben
