Waterworld on drivers side when raining 86 745 Turbo 700

When it rains, even lightly, water comes into the drivers side front floor. The leak seems to first appear at the front left corner of the floor, above the floor.

Possibly related to this is the fact that my wiper motor stops (in low speed only, high speed is always good) after operating awhile through a moderate to heavy rain.

Any suggestions? I've read the FAQ.
