Using oil at 100K? 900 1993

I have owned my prestine 945 6 mos/10k miles. I use Mobile 1 10w30, change at 6k. I have noticed that I am a quart low at 4500 miles. It does not appear to be leaking it. Engine is clean. Checked flametrap, clean also. Prior owner had all service records & was very well maintained. This is the first car that I have used syn oil & extended milage between oil changes. Is this unusual oil usage? The odometer just hit 100k. Checked & couldn't find an answer in the 900 FAQ. Thanks, it worries me a little, I love the car.
