Brake line replacement 200 1980

While removing the rear calipers on my 245, the nut holding the metal brake line to the caliper stopped turning independently of the line (even after plenty of PBlaster)- I didn't see any solution and ended up breaking both lines (guess I got impatient too). Does anyone have any tips for unscrewing the lines from the calipers without twisting them? I tried grabbing the line right next to the nut but wasn't successful (pliars were probably a bad idea). I hope the lines are readily available...
