Gremlin in my brake lights-1990 16v 700

I don't have the brake lights on my car! The top mount light and all other rear lights are okay.

I have eliminated the fuses as a source of the problem.

The only two places that I can tell from reading the FAQ is possibly the Bulb sensor failure relay. Or the Lighting relay."K".

Is there any ground points that would only work the brake lights?

I have tried a bulb sensor relay from my 1985 740. It doesn't work, but then it has a different part no.
I can probably pick this part up from my local pick-n-pull, but I would like to make sure that this is the problem, it's a good half hour away.
