rear shock mount questions 200 1989

hello,

i posted here a few weeks ago regarding a squeak & rattle i was getting from the rear suspension - turns out that the problem is the rear upper shock mounts - they're both quite loose, so the shocks are constantly rattling around, especially driving through the city. it figures, too, that the boge turbo gas shocks i put on the car 2 weeks ago don't fit the mounts well, and this causes the driver's side shock to vibrate (which may also be due to the loose mount). does this sound likely?

so, what can i do? i've searched, but have been unsuccessful at finding replacement mounts - i'm guessing that replacing them would be the best bet. if you know of a vendor that sells these, please let me know. or, if you know of a good way to work with what i have, do tell.

sorry if this question is somewhat basic - i'm a volvo newbie :]

thanks for any suggestions --
ian
