Differential woes. 200

Lets see, I have replaced the engine, tranny and driveline on an '79 245 wagon in the past 2 weeks. Taking a left hand turn this morning i experienced a lurch(first a loss of power at the wheels then a burst) I have no howling or grinding noises coming from the rear end. What are your experiences with a rear diff. that failed on you?? I do not believe it is a limited slip or posi rear. Any suggestions. I did top off the diff with 90 weight hypoid gear oil before i started driving this car. It was also towed with in its former life.

thanks

john p
