Tach showing low RPM 200 1989

Hello,

Got a salvage tach from a boneyard, plugged it in and it looks great, but it shows way low RPM's. I think it just needs the connectors cleaned, but I wanted to check here first. I kept the clock in case it's bad. It shows about 200 rpm at idle and never gets higher than 2000 when driving, even after a downshift. What can I check besides the spade connectors?

Also, can anyone tell me where to get new dashboard lights? One of mine died, and as long as I have the cluster out again I'd like to replace all of them. I've been looking in Haynes and the user manual and either my wife is right and I have a genetic predesposition for tunnel vision, or it's not listed.

Thanks for the help all.

Terry
