is it OK to unplug O2 sensor and run?? 700

fluctuating tach sounds like one of two things:

1) dirty throttle body

2) dirty IAC

Both are fairly simple cleaning jobs. The IAC is directly under the intake manifold, a cylinder about 3" and 1.5" in diameter. Instructions for IAC and TB cleaning can be found in teh 700/900 FAQ. BTW, technically you should pull the TB to clean it, but you can probably get by with just pulling the intercooler hose off, disconnecting the throttle switch and hoses, and spraying it around teh edges of teh flap and inside while wiping the gunk up with a towel.

btw, have you replaced your air and fuel filters? I find makijng sure all the filters are new and smooth helps as well.

good luck,
rt
