is it OK to unplug O2 sensor and run?? 700

On checking the computer codes: I have printed out a thread from the board on what the different codes mean. We "Think" we found the computer box located at the passengers side kick board by the door/ It is a square slender silver box with a large connector. We are afraid to "open" it to view the blinking red light codes.

Or should we be afraid? please advise. It's just curious that the car runs fine when both the OLD and the NEW O2 sensor is unplugged.

Thanks for any comments or advice.
