crankcase ventilation hose 700 1989

I was recently replacing the airbox thermostat on my car and noticed what appears to be a fitting for a hose leading out from the top (engine) side of the airbox. My Haynes manual includes removing the crankcase ventilation hose when removing the airbox. I went into the section for crankcase ventilation and found nothing in the diagrams leading to the airbox. I have a 89' 745 no-turbo. Am i missing a hose, and if so where does it lead to from the airbox. Thanks in advance___mark.
