the gas saving tornado... legit?

so I'm up late working and I've got the tv on in the background. An ad comes on for this "gas saving tornado" thing...

what's the story on this "gas saving technological breakthrough"? is this a legit item or just some bogus piece of marketing crappola? how exactly does it work? I keep hearing them say "better mixture through the patented air vortex" what the hell does that mean? they claim actual horsepower gains off this thing as well?where would you put it in a turbo volvo, the hose coming off the intercooler to the throttle body? not really sure how it would fit into my 1985 745t.

basically just interested in knowing what the science on this thing actually is and WHY it would actually work. I'm often up late and I see this commercial so often you'd think it's the greatest discovery since sliced bread...

full discussion welcome... any "satisfied users" in the brickworld?
