Converting 164 Carbs 140-160 1969

Thanks. That helps a lot. I got this from Bill at Voluparts also:
hi. a pair of earlier 122 , 1800 carbs are a good choice. they are SU
HS6s and are easily adjustable for mixture, unlike the dreaded Strombergs.
a pair of rebuildable old used ones are 100.[ plus some UPS $ ] . 2 good
rebuild kits for them are 49. 50 each [complete with "DX" needles suitable
for 164 applications]. they will bolt up to your manifold, and use the
same linkage. you will need to run another lawnmower cable to the second
carb's choke --[ it takes two, not one] , you will need to redrill the
plastic bolt holes pattern in your old air filter box - [ slightly different
pattern] , etc. these kits are in stock.
thanks. bill

What do you think? Is my question answered?
Thanks George (as usual)and Shayne
Jack
