87 245 Ext Door Trim - remove and re-install 200 1987

The ext. door trim (bumper guard) is falling off my driver side front door. Two of the clips have come out. It seems that all I have to do is slide the trim off, put the clips back on the door, and slide the trim back on.

Question: how do I slide the trim off? Do I remove the beveled end piece at the front end? If so, how do I get that off?

Any thoughts are appreciated
