my brick is always running slightly rich 200 1989

ok, most majar stuff is fairly new. FRP, O2, plugs, caps ect. The injectors seem fine, techron ect. No vacuum leaks.

I get a thin coating of carbon in the exhaust, and my plugs surface is always black (all plugs). Not the typical volvo plug. Compression is solid at 180 on all.

I just don't understand what could cause it to run rich. I get normal gas mileage 21 mpgs. I'm worried about ruining my cat (new). The 'comb' was black.

Anyone try the water treatment for carbon?
