B23 block, B230 head...compatible???? 200 1993

Hola Bricksters:
I have an 83 B23 rebuilt engine (new rings, bearings, complete head job, etc) sitting at Mom's under plastic wrap.

My 93 245 SW is due for a head/valve job next week.. I suspect the slight oil consumption is being caused by worn valve seals). I'm doing it..that is remove the head, take it to a machine shop, replace. I've done my wife's 89 740 last winter..no problema.
Now for the question...if the block of the 93 requires new rings, etc, could I just put the rebuilt b230 head onto the b23 block and be OK with it in the 93 245??
Are the two components compatible?
Gracias,
el Raidman.
