'92 965 Temporary Loss of A/C Compressor 900 1992

Shortly after re-starting the car, the A/C shut off and the compressor wouldn't kick back on for the remainder of a short highway trip. Nothing else out of the ordinary, and engine temp was normal.

As soon as I parked the car, I shut off the engine and re-started, and the compressor kicked right on, cooled fine, and properly responded to the ACC controls.

Any idea what happened? Is this a sign of some sensor or relay going bad?
