different OD, same solenoid. the overdrive does work, seems better than the old one, however that might have more to do with fixing the wiring while i had the tranny out. one thing i did notice, was the new tranny had a smaller driveshaft flange, which i swapped out for the one from my old tranny. now this only seems to happen in 2nd & sometimes 3rd gear at 30-50km/hr. also to note, the shifter likes to pop out of 2nd gear on occasion, however i suspect that might have just been me misaligning the reverse lockout plate.
when i replaced the tranny, i filled the new one w/ penzoil atf type-f fluid. doesn't seem to leak any, but i can certainly crawl under there & add a bit more oil if you think that might be the cause.
