Please help! Just picked up 945T...problems and 700 miles to get home 900

I would really appreciate if you guys could give me some much needed advice.

Yesterday I picked up the 94 945T I bought 700 miles away from my home. I brought with me radiator hoses, all belts, timing belt and cam/crank seals, spark plugs, fuel filter, oil filter, water pump so I could work on before made the retun trip home. I had a 75 mile drive from where I picked up the car to where my folks live, and the 945 ran very well (91k). So when we got to the house yesterday, I tore into it. Changed the timing belt, seals, hoses and drive belts and three of the spark plugs (I temporarily misplaced the fourth plug).

Buttoned it up after a test idle (with the drive belts off), seemed fine. Finished the assembly and found out the crank gear was one tooth off (advanced). Also, the check engine light was on with all the belts on(IT IS STILL ON, AND THAT'S WHAT CONCERNS ME - SO PLEASE BE THINKING ABOUT WHAT I MIGHT'VE DONE AS I CONTINUE). So I figured, it must be the fourth plug (the originals were worn to around .060 (gap). So, with 2:30 am judgement, I removed the #4 spark plug and screwed in the new one (warm engine) - cross threaded..... Damn. It's in about halfway, and there is no blowby past the plug.

Back to the timing belt - finished. The car is running very well - stronger than before I begain the work....but the CHECK ENGINE light is still glowing. What should I do? Operating temp is ok. Everything seems normal.

On Tuesday morning I plan on making the 700+ mile drive back to Texas, but am somewhat afraid now. The crossed plug is not really worrying me (that will be a later adventure), it's that check engine light.

I checked the faq and see there's really no way for me to check the codes - as I don't have the tool. Do you guys advise that I take it to the volvo local volvo dealership in the morning? (monday) To have them diagnose/fix the problem? Or should I not worry about it?

Again, all I did was replace the timing belt, cam/crank seals, radiator hoses, plugs and water pump. One more thing - the large rubber hose that goes from the air box to the turbo fell off a couple times - it's pretty flimsy. I was hoping to make it home and order aftermarket hoses. It seems secure now.

I don't seem to have any vacuum leaks either.

What should I do? Thanks a MILLION in advance for your advice.

Chris
