the transmission from hell 700

thanks for the responses... I know it is strange (since there was no fluid the first time it stopped working) but there does not appear to be any leak +
the fluid level was okay each time I checked it in the last 30 days.

No slips, no hard shifts, no unusual noises for 30 days.

Now, ( the no-go problem has re-occured), suddenly, (1) there is too much fluid. (???) This seems impossible to me.

The (2) coolant seems to be free of any transmisson fluid. The lines seem to be fine.

(3) the shift linkage appears to be snug & I can feel it go into each position.

Besides the filter screen, where could the fluid become blocked?
