OIl Pressure Problem 900 1992

Wonder if anyone can give me any advice on a problem I've experienced with the oil pressure light on my UK 72k mile 2.0l(non turbo)estate. Originally when I bought the car at 50k it had a flickering oil light at idle which the dealer fixed by fitting a new seal on the oil pick up pipe in the sump. After this was fixed the oil light on start up from cold would take about 1 second to extinguish) Since the last oil change at 70k I've noticed that the oil light takes about 3 seconds to extinguish on start up from cold - when it's hot it goes off almost immediately. I've also noticed that if I don't give it enough revs when I take off in first gear and the engine revs drop to approx 300-400rpm, the oil light comes on fully - it does not flicker. The car has been dealer serviced from new (oil+filter changed at 10k intervals to 50k then 5k intervals thereafter, including the filter)and I run it on 10w/30 catrol magnatec with a volvo oil filter. It has until recently been used for mainly city driving with lots of short trips.

Thanks in advance

Mike
