Need help troubleshooting AC 700

I recently bought an '89 760T with Climate Control. The AC does not work. The compressor clutch is not getting power. The light on the AC switch illuminates, but does not flash a fault code. I only have a wiring diagram from the Haynes manual that goes up to '88 and it's pretty hard to follow. Any suggestions on how to proceed would be appreciated.
