A/C working now, but not for long- 700 1988

Hey all-

I just completed a $34.99 134a "retrofit" on my workhorse. I had a defeatist attitude starting the project as I knew the system was empty (no compressor turn on) and jumping the pressostat kicked the compressor on. I figured that means: a leak. So after completing the conversion I sat down in the nicely cooled interior, shut off the fan, and listened to a nice gurgly hiss coming from the ducts. Leaking evaporator, Yes? How fun is this replacement? Any advice from those who've done this before?

-Thanks-
Dylan
