V6 Engine Identification.. 200

Thanks for the info guys.
Why do I want a Volvo eninge ? Availability ! I can get an old 262/264 - entire car for almost nothing (US$100), maybe even a 760 on a good day!

The peugeot V6 was available here in the old 604 from about '75 to '82, and then a gap until the V6 505 from '87-'90. The main problem for me is the bell housing on my auto gearbox - it is the same box as used in the 505 V6, but finding the V6 bell housing is going to be hard to find over here. I may have to make an adaptor plate, but I'm unsure whether this works for an auto box/torque converter etc.

Thanks,
Jason
