Good Point 700 1990

"...Hesitation is often traced to ignition HV breakdown (arcing wire, bad spark plug, coil tower) so start there..."

I had a problem one time with the car not wanting to start. I removed the coil and the "power stage"?, "tower"?, (whatever that doggone thang is called) from the strut tower and cleaned-up all the mounting surfaces and particularly noticed the three spring-loaded connections that make contact when the coil is mounted were really gunked up with dirt crud. I cleaned them good and tweaked the clips slightly to guarantee good connections. Problem fixed.

I believe you said you put new HT leads on. Did you replace the coil-to-distributor lead?
