Stinkin power brake troubles solved...yet to be diagnosed 140-160 1972

Well, I think I got the lack of power brakes only when warm issue taken care of... Fed up, I finally just replaced the booster, master cyl, vaccuum hose, and check valve. Lo and behold...the problem went away. Or so it seems so far. But I still can't think of which part in the system would cause it to be problematic only in the warm weather. But I guess some mysteries are best left unanswered. I have to assume though, that something in the booster was the offending part.

Of course, there was a bit of a cursing episode during the re-attachment of the brake pedal rod. Stupid design that is. Thank someone (me in this case) for for the right little magnets to stick the nut to the wrench :-)

One other note.... I had previously asked if the master cylinder for a 164 would be the same as on a 140. Well...for future reference...they ain't the same. Although they look sort of similar on the outside, they look completely different when you take 'em off. Also, the mounting studs are smaller (?) on a 164 than on a 140. So...don't try to interchange those. Maybe it would work, but it ain't gonna be right. And brakes are the wrong system to mess with.

Thanks again for all y'alls suggestions and insights. I shoulda just done it right a long time ago and been done with it.

Cheers for now.
