Turbo (or HD) clutch parts on NA? 200 1986

My 245 needs a clutch job in the near future. I'd like to put a little more heavy-duty clutch into the car.

From what I've read, it sounds like the clutch plate (friction disc) has a different spline count. However, would the housing fit? The housing is what determines how hard the clutch is pressed against the flywheel, correct?

Is my thinking feasible or flawed?
