Matching Struts/Shocks 900

I just did the front end on my '93 940 Turbo Wagon. (struts/bushings/ball joints) I used Boge turbo gas struts, and the ride still feels more squishy than I'd like. Granted, the rear shocks still need to be replaced -- which is the next project I plan to tackle.
So here are my questions:

- If I go with Bilstein HD on the back, will the mis-match front to back adversely affect the ride/handling?

- Have I not given the Boges a fair chance since the rears haven't been done?

Any input would be appreciated.
