95' 960 Got the Shakes Again 900 1995

In need of some guidance. Local Volvo Tech booked till Monday or Tuesday.

If anyone recalls, about 2weeks ago my engine began to stumble and hesitate upon acceleration. Mysteriously the symptom disappeared the very next day and the engine has run flawlessly ever since. Until last night that is.

It ran fine all day yesterday except for an occasional strong smell of raw fuel. I looked in the engine compartment and under the car but couln't find any signs or evidence of a fuel leak.

If I accelerate too briskly from a stop or at low speeds(below 35-45mph)the engine will hesitate, stumble and sputter as if starving for fuel. If I accelerate slowly and steadily progress no symptoms are noticed.

Any reply or assistance greatly appreciated.
