Speedometer troubles.... 700

The odometer is electronically driven from a seperate motor, so it would stand to reason that you might have one not working while the other is functioning properly.

I would try taking the dash instrument cluster connectors first. make sure they are tight on the board. The next step would be to remove the rear of the cluster (where the black plastic, meets the white plastic as long as it is like my 740)

be careful not to mess the needle up, but the gage can be removed, and you can look to see if there are any broken wires or anything in that gage.
