Random miss problem seems fixed 200 1988

Hello SF -

In this case, I couldn't find the 8 sets of brushes I bought from alloemparts.com so I had to use one of the brush/regulator sets I had in Bob's Garage Volvo Parts Department. Had I found the brushes, I would have followed the instructions gleaned from the BB and soldered in a new pair.

As is was, the job was a minor PITA, requiring removal of the heat shield and the oil filter to have enough working room.

I haven't yet done that solder-in-new-brushes job, so I don't know if the regulator can actually fail. There's a heck of a difference in cost, though.

Regards,

Bob
