Looking at a purchase -- specific questions regarding manual trans vs. auto 200 1982

I am looking at purchasing an 82 DL Wagon. I currently have an 82 sedan and the wagon would be an addition. My sedan has 3 spd auto w/ OD -- i think this is a great trans and have never had problems with it. The wagon I am looking at has manual trans. The car has 125k on it. how long can I expect the clutch to last. How expensive / easy is it to replace? What is the durability / longevity of the auto vs. manual trans.

P.S. the front door handle is not functional.. is this a straightforward repair??
