testing fuel rail pressure 245 '86 230F

I see the test outlined in Big Bently book section 241-9, BUT, does any one have any idea how to test the pressure without the special Volvo tool\fitting number #5265 ? I can rig up a pressure gauge and relief valve if I could just figure out how to connect to the incoming fuel line\fuel rail from the fuel pump. As seen in Fig 6 of section 241-9.

I have tested the main pump for volume and I get 1.2 Liters per the 30 sec test, as per Bently. But the question of pressure is still open.

I have all kinds of rough idling and then fade out of power and have looked all over the Fuel Injection section for help and still have real trouble.

I surely do need help.

Bob
