Low cost exhaust upgrade/replace 700

Welp, I went to go have my car tested for emissions, and it turns out that it has a VERy large exhaust leak. I could always feel it before, but the entire tailpipe from what looks like the cat all the way back has split at the seam. I haven't been driving the car yet, just preparing it for the road, but what are some good recommendations for decent exhaust. I'm thinking of just buying a length of 3" pipe and borrowing my friends pipe bender and rolling my own exhaust system as the cheapest solution. Any other tools required? What would I do about the first muffler directly behind the cat? Any extraneous mounts that would be needed to accmodate the larger pipe? In case you didn't know, I'm on a very strict budget here. This thing kind of came out of the blue and smacked me in the face. BTW, the car did pass the emissions test.
