Steering & Air Bag 900 1992

Definitly disconnect the battery! (I don't know about overnite though). There are two screws holding the airbag onto the steering wheel. You access them through the underside of the steering wheel, they are #10 or #15(?) TORX (at least they are on a '94). You probably have to turn the wheel 45 degrees or so the uncover the holes, after that, the airbag pops right off. Before you disconnect the battery you may want to attach a 9V battery to the cigarette lighter. That will keep the radio theft code from shutting down the radio when the battery disconnects (don't bother if you have your code, it is easier to just reenter it when you are done). Don't have the code and already disconnected the battery? Call the local dealership, they'll look it up for you when you give them the VIN.
