Fuel problem? Again 200 1983

OK so I didn't fix the problem on my turbo wagon. Give the car some throttle and it sputters, sometimes it will just die, wait a few minutes and starts back up but still sputters when given any throttle. The intank pump and sock have been changed, fuel filter, coil, ignition wires, spark plugs, o2 sensor and most vacuum hoses. I am thinking either the main fuel pump or fuel brain. A co-worker suggested that the cat is bad.....what do you think? Thanks
