wierd strut replacement problem 200 1988

That is screwed up. Do you mean the strut body of one is several inches longer than the other? Return both, get your money, and run away from that place.

The original struts for the 240 turbo were about 1/4" longer or so, because they were the special gas ones. Those will NOT fit a non-turbo 240.

Isn't the sachs strut a lower priced unit than the Boge Pro-gas? It sounds like they are ripping you off. IPD's garage sale is coming up real soon, and you know they will send you the right stuff!
