A/C Fan 700 1990

Well, I'd like to report at least short-lived success in cleaning and "re-lubricating" the screachy condensor fan. After pulling it from its resting place, I was impressed by the amount of dry, dark brown/black dust that came out of the innards of the fan motor, not to mention the assortment of flora and fauna caught between the body of the fan and the condensor fins. A quart of Simpler Green, a half pint of rubber and vinyl dressing, and a considerable quantity of WD40 later, the original fan has been re-installed with nary a squeek. We'll see how long this "repair" lasts, and how long that $240 for a new one can remain in my wallet. If it really is a short-lived fix, I'll report back and possibly save someone the trouble. Thanks for your help!!
