Hello...
I have a 89 760 Wagon that's been having problems getting through NJ emissions. NOX and HC are a little on the high side but OK. But it's running way rich.. NJ limit on CO% for my car is .88, and the car is running at 3.47%. It idles, drives and starts great. So far, i've changed/ fixed
spark plugs & wires
rotor & cap
air filter
timing belt
FI o-rings
replaced several vaccuum hoses that were rotten & split
had the throttle body and cumbustion chambers cleaned
replaced the intake hose (found some holes & stuff in it)
replaced the idle control motor (car was idling high)
02 sensor was replaced.
the only thing that I haven't replaced was the AMM, which was swapped with anothother good used one to test. That didn't change how the car ran at all.
In addition to failing the emmisions test, I'm reading a steady .6 volts @ the 02 sensor lead. Unplugging a vaccuum hose will drop that to .2 or so.
I checked the Fuel Pressure regulator (no leaks or smell of fuel) and when I unplug the vaccuum to it, the idle only goes up about 100 or so RPM. Any suggestions? what have I missed. I know the AMM is the adjustable variety, and changing the setting on it has no impact on the emmisions or 02 sensor reading..
help!
