Oil Pressure Warning Light - Help!!! 700

I took a long road trip from VA to KY in my '87 765. Going there was not a problem, but on my way back the Oil Pressure Warning Light came on.

How is this possible? I have an Autometer sending unit connected to an Autometer Oil Pressure Gauge in my A-Pillar Pod, so how is the warning light getting a signal?

I thought that the oil had completely broke down, so I did an early oil change with Mobil 1, 10W-30. The light flickers on and off now.

Anyone have any idea what the issue is or where it's getting the signal from?
