Oil Pressure Warning Light - Help!!! 700

The light is getting the signal because the wire is shorting out somewhere. This is one of the wires in the engine wire harness that is particularly seceptible to "insulation rot" (specifically, this is one of the wires in the the grey connector near the firewall). Take a look at that connector, I will bet $ that the insulation on those wires is crumbling away (unless the wiring has been replaced already).

Another possibility is a short in the dash itself, but this is much less likely.
